Priorities for Far
Northeast Denver
Building Pathways for Young People
Expanding education, workforce pathways, and youth supports so young people in Far Northeast Denver can thrive close to home.
Far Northeast Denver is one of the youngest and fastest-growing parts of the city, yet too many of our young people lack access to after-school programs, job training, and clear pathways to careers. I will prioritize investments in youth programming, mentorship, and partnerships with Denver Public Schools, community organizations, and local employers to ensure our youth have real opportunities to succeed. That means advocating for workforce development programs tied to emerging industries like Denver International Airport, expanding access to paid internships and apprenticeships, and supporting safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and lead. When we invest in youth, we’re not just supporting families today — we’re building a stronger, more equitable future for Denver.
Housing That Works for All of Us
Advancing housing solutions that keep District 11 families stably housed while our neighborhoods continue to grow.
Far Northeast Denver has seen rapid development, rising rents, and increasing pressure on longtime residents. I believe growth should not come at the expense of the people who already call District 11 home. I will advocate for policies that expand affordable housing options, protect renters, and support first-time homeownership for working families. This includes supporting income-restricted housing, strengthening access to ADU’s, preserving existing affordable units, and ensuring new development includes housing that meets the needs of our community. Stable housing is foundational — when families can stay rooted in their neighborhoods, our schools are stronger, our local businesses thrive, and our community remains connected.
Supporting Community by Investing in Small Businesses
Supporting District 11’s small businesses with resources, fair access, and opportunities to grow locally.
Small businesses in Montbello and Green Valley Ranch are the backbone of our community, creating jobs, providing essential services, and strengthening our neighborhood identity. As your City Council representative, I will work to reduce barriers for small businesses by improving access to city resources, technical assistance, and capital. I will advocate for equitable contracting opportunities, streamlined permitting, and intentional support for minority-owned and immigrant-owned businesses. When we invest in local entrepreneurs, we keep dollars in our community and ensure District 11 grows in a way that reflects the people who live and work here.
Modern Infrastructure for a Growing District
Delivering infrastructure improvements that keep District 11 safe, connected, and prepared for future growth.
Far Northeast Denver has long been under-invested in basic infrastructure — from sidewalks and street lighting to transit access and pedestrian safety. I will push for smart, equitable infrastructure investments that address long-standing gaps while planning responsibly for continued growth. That means prioritizing safe streets, reliable transit, and accessible public spaces that serve residents of all ages and abilities. Infrastructure should work for people — supporting mobility, economic opportunity, and quality of life across every neighborhood in our district.
Building Trust, Strengthening Safety
Building safer District 11 neighborhoods through accountability, prevention, and community partnership.
Community safety starts with trust. We deserve to feel safe in our neighborhoods and confident that public safety systems are fair, transparent, and responsive. I support a balanced approach that includes community-based prevention, mental health response, and accountability in policing. As your City Council representative, I will work to strengthen partnerships between residents, city agencies, and public safety professionals ensuring community voices shape safety solutions. By investing in prevention, youth engagement, and trust-building strategies, we can create safer neighborhoods while honoring dignity and justice for all.
